Why do you like Anime and Mangas?

People may like things for many reasons and people may like things because they like it, without knowing why...

Why do you like Anime, or Manga, both or one of them in particular?


Personally, I would prefer Manga, because it contains the most original stories from the author, it exists because the author likes what he is doing. On the other hand, sometimes for actions like in Bleach, Naruto, Rurouni Kenshin cannot be fully presented in simply still pictures and therefore here the animation takes greater advantage in this.

I love these because they can take me to a wonder world where anything can become possible...I like to imagine, to think of the impossibles, to create new stories, and I feel happy when I succeed in understanding what the author wanted to express in a particular part of his manga!

I like manga, for rested upon these pages in black and white is the original work of the mangaka. I bought the 3 first volumes of "Blade of the Immortal" mainly for the sketches - that's what I'd call Art.

Anime also has its good points, like you already said. Action scenes are so better on the screen E.g, Samurai Champloo and Gundam Wing. How can you appreciate a still space battle?

I like both... Why?
To put it simply, let's just say that they allow me to leave my physical self and to have my own fantasies, my own imaginary world where only a thin line exists between reality and irreality, where the impossible becomes possible...


Personally, I would rather root for manga, since it is, as everybody else stated, the original version. Also, some manga can be more touching since some of the anime versions tend to emphasize on senseless action and violence too much, mainly the new ones.

Still, anime can also be great when the animation is fluid and the essence of the original story is still present.

No thrill when you watch anime!?! man, you must really be insensitive. That, or you simply didn't watch those good animes which channel the characters' emotions... Take "Monster" for example, when I watched it, I really felt myself in the plot. Thrill.

ah well, with globalisation, anyone can produce a manga. But it's mangas which can become legends that are hard to produce...

Some kind of "full of blood" anime?

Well it sure has lots of blood, but it's in black and white. No red = no blood. What makes Blade of the Immortal so special is the pictures. Pure art. I suggest you go to 'Le Cygne' when you have time, and have a look at the books. THey're expensive though...

Well, i've learned about an anime called Final fantasy: The nwe order....
Watched it... was cool... it's the story of how cloud came to be be cloud!

Well, that does not irritate me too much if the anime turn out to be cool...
However, original works are often better...
Sephiroth was better in New Order... Cloud was on the other hand more childish...More of a teen... See what i mean?
Anyway, should say that Square Enix is extremely cool!

Well, i love anime for i find the stories often breath taking... i mean how do they think about these...
Furthermore, the drawing are so cool, an often very funny..
You know... the expressions XD, ^.^', etc...

I prefer Anime because I'm a bit Sloth lol, I love all the anime and manga world because it brings to me some fantaisie ^^ sometimes it's funny and sometimes it's sad but all are good story :p

heyheyhey!! uri, don't we do manga too?? we're not so different from them...just as creative and almost as good on the drawings...even better than some!! check out 'Basilisk' for instance, the drawings in the manga are weird, like the legs are so short compared to the rest of the body!! so, stop wondering, baka!!
