My most adored songs are those from Japan, even though I don't understand what they are talking about...

But maybe this is what attracts me, unlike some english or french songs, you just get angry when you get the meaning of those lyrics~~

Yar! I particularly like the anime songs! Some are very, well, the classical type with lots of instrumental. These are becoming rare, but these rare ones are real treasures; take for example the violin and guitar pieces in Noir (sooo melancholic and addictive drunken ) or even the opening song (or was it the ending?) of Brain Powered, Ai No Rinkaku.

huh...I know it's not very 'in' lol, but hope what i said doesn't sound like something your great-grandma would say lol!

It's ok, everyone has his preferences, so I cannot comment much on that...Well, for me there's no restriction...I hated rap before but now if it's good to the ears then I will accept it and even try to mumble its lyrics sometimes~! Haha

Can rap be considered as music??? confused Hey there's something called 'slam'... it's a bit like rap, but without any music.. up to now, i.e.. Since a slammer recorded a slam cd - with music - is slam still slam, or is it rap now? confused

hmmm....am i talking nonsense? lol!

Je suppose que le "slam" a été travesti en "rap" au fil des années. O_O"

heh! you're getting it wrong. The slam is a modern version of the poem thing you used to read. Unlike the rap, it's meant to describe something, not criticize, give his opinion or preach ideologies. It's like someone reads a poem...

Jsongs??euh.. Can you illuminate us on the meaning please...
well, it's not supposed to be read fast but due to the fact that it is not accopagnied by a music, the narrator has to change tone rapidly to make it less dull...

'My Sanctuary' is one of my favourite songs...But if I had to make a list of all Jsongs I like, there'll not be enough space in the forum lol
Talking of Square Enix's series, there's one guy in the team who contributes greatly to their success. I'll start another thread for this.

Well, Osi, if you are clueless, c'est pas grave, after all, we're here to share what we know. So you might learn some things from us just as we might learn something from you. Wink

But let's get back to J-songs....we're straying a bit off subject... Razz

I like the Noir soundtracks ("Canta per me", "Salva nos", "Em more", etc...) because they are so melancholic. I also like "Ai no Rinkaku", the opening song of the anime Brain Powered for the same reason. There are many others, but i am too tired right now to list all of them! Sleep

I think that the Noir soundtracks would fit more in the classical section lol But still, no true anime/manga fan shies away from a good anime soundtrack, whether it be instrumental only. For those who'd like to listen to the Noir soundtracks, you can download them at gendou.com, or you can simply pm me Wink
You can also download tons of other J-songs on that site.
