| I looked for some info on Aquarion: the anime's full title is "Genesis of Aquarion" . Sounds a lot like 'Neon Genesis Evangelion'...even the storyline is basically that of Evangelion: A huge catastrophe hit the planet, extinguishing most of Earth's population and leading to the apparition of winged beings known as 'Shadow Angels'. That's very like the apparition of Angels after the Second Impact in NGE!  However the mecha Aquarion differs from Eva units as it is made of the fusion of various other units (Vectors). After Rahxephon, Genesis of Aquarion adds to the list of Evangelion-based mecha anime... However, I think it'll be worth watching! Viva Japanime!  | |

| Good summary... However, it may not be as good as Evangelion (  My Evangelion  ) Anyway, the drawing is quite a detailed one and the dialogue are particularly well chose... The only problem is that it is SO evangelion based... The robots are called ANGELS!!! My god... Could they not have chosen another name?? | |

| I finally watched some episodes of Aquarion, not bad I must say! In fact I like it very much. There are some well-placed cell-shading (I think it's cell-shading, looks like it...) scenes and the unification pose reminds me a lot of Sailormoon It's also a very colourful anime, a bit of Escaflowne in the clolour and drawing styles, some Pat Labor and Evangelion for the team work and mecha designs. However, I saw that there were only Korean names in the ending credits!  Is Aquarion a manga or a manhwa? If the project is Korean then I'll move it to the Korean section. | |

| Hey... I believe something really cool about this anime is the ending credit song! It's so cool! I believe it's even better than the "fly me to the moon" of Evangelion!!!
It's like sung by a really young girl and her voice is so melodious... :O

| Yeah me too! I've tried looking for the language in which it's sung, but seems like it's a made-up language! Sheesshh, and I thought it was sanskrit or something I also found news of a sequel to Aquarion: Sousei No Aquarion - Wings of Betrayal. From what I saw on the poster, the main characters have grown about 2-5 years, LiHua is still here (Yeay!!!) and so is Toma . There's also a weird looking guy/girl??? | |

| Well, i guess it was indeed a good manga to introduce to the CC... ( for once i do something good...)
Yet, i still keep thinking that Aquarion has copied a lot from the Evangelion story... There are angels, the whole fate of humanity in the hand of children, and strange weapons thing...
The unification is indeed extremely weird...
However, some scenes are extremely enjoyable... Especially the part where they touch the feather and remember their past life... | |
