Final Fantasy Aeons

One of the coolest features of FFX, and other final fantasy games too, is the ability of certain characters to summon Aeons. In FFX, it's Yuna ,but you already know this.
Each Aeon has it's special attacks and can learn more abilities and magic as you progress in the game.

It is also interesting to note that all Aeons (or even characters) bear the name of characters from Greek/Egyptian/Scandinavian/Persian/Japanese/others mythology and legends. If you know the source of the Aeons' name, please share~

Well, i think Yogimbo is the strongest! withhis zanmato youu are sure to win! This was how i killed Omega weapon! About 7000000 hp damage and it was not dead! However, My Yogimbo saved me!

The tall one from the Magus Sisters is awesome too. Taille mannequin and the fat one is gross but funny!
My Yojimbo is a weakling... don't know why. Basically, I like all the aeons, but have a slight preference for .... Anima!!! The tormented spirit~

Yet, he is too powerful to be released...
He is chained. Imagine, he does all this damage by winking...

It does!? But during its Oblivion overdrive, you can see what's beneath Anima - another ghoul-like head and arms. I saw no legs or is it my eyes that are defective?

Anima is (or at least used to be) a "she"!!! Discrimination!!!

@ Nataku - I didn't see anything, neither another head nor legs... I just saw a blur below anima...

Anima has NO legs~ I'm sure of it. And, Ealga, next time we get the PS we'll check that together!
However, if you guys (ok, girls and guys, so that Ealga doesn't yell 'Discrimination again') want to keep talking about legs, I humbly suggest you take a look at Shiva's
(no irrespect meant) or you can start another thread on SailorMoon - there sure is no shortage of legs in there...

i still believe,Anima has legs... You see them when you overdrive oblivion... They are partly hidden by the cocoon thing...

Yojimbo is in fact the strongest aeon... well at least hies overdrive Zanmato!( kills instantly)

Many swords were named Zanmato in feudal Japan...wonder why...

I remember now where Ixion stems from. Its story is quite interesting:
Ixion, in Greek mythology, fell in love with Hera. Not really love I'd say...It was more a burning desire for you know what (ça va là? Je traumatise personne? Parcequ'il a mieux après... ). So, Hera turned herself into a cloud (or Zeus turned her into a cloud, not sure) to escape Ixion. But, Ixion just made love (*censored*) to the cloud :affraid: and from this act were born the race of Centaurs...

Now I wonder why they named that magnificent Aeon by such a man's name... Poor aeon...

Its overdrive can cause over 1 million damage!
But it didn't even scratch Omega Weapon...soooooo...I think Jojimbo's the better one of the two!
