Lord Of The Rings!
La réference en la matière! The apex of the art of heroic-fantasy! A recent (ok, maybe not too recent...) movie, yet already a classic!

Based on the books by J.R Tolkien, LOTR boasts great special effects, pictures, design, art, in short, nearly everything.
The only drawback, which we shall forgive P.Jackson, is the elimination of certain events and characters from the books (e.g. Tom Bombadil, who should normally have appeared in The Fellowship).
[Don't worry Jackson, we understand that such a vast story can't be wholly transcribed into a movie ]

For this poll, I have picked 10 characters from LOTR who appeared to be the most important and significant throughout the movie, but have also taken the books into account.

Q:Who's your favourite LOTR character? and why, of course.

Mine is Aragorn, Legolas and Sam~!

Aragorn: well...just his character and background interests me...a bit sad...but happy that he can achieve his goal~!

Legolas: well I think that most of the people will be impressed by his fighting skills~!

Sam: The most Loyal of the friends, but pity that he could not have given Frodo a punch in the end and throw the ring into the lava!

Mine are Aragon, Gimli, Gandalf and Legolas
I like them because they are courageous and i like their weapon

Well, the movie was good but as compared to the book, is a mere introduction...
However, i suggest all fans to watch the extended movies...
You have some interesting scenes. I think there is about 4hours of cut scenes... Scene between Faramir and Eowyn... Aragorn and Sauron... Saruman and White Gandalf

Indeed, Aragorn's Narsil and Legolas' Demonedge are mega cool!

Ya! Of course I'd like to see the extended version! Who wouldn't?!

I like Gandalf: Wise and powerful sorcerer.

Legolas: For the same reasons as all those who like him. Elves are soooo cool.

and Aragorn: an interesting character considering his past and his future deeds.

However I dislike Frodo. Not because of Elijah Wood, but because the character of Frodo himself reminds me of a crybaby...

Well i'm not a big fan of Legolas as he seems to perfect! As all elves are in fact! They have no sense of courage, pride or legacy as man have!
Well, i prefer faramir and Galadriel for they are both wise and cool!

Well, in the book, she supposed to be the most beautiful thing you'll ever see...
In the movie, the actress was not that great!
The only thing i ever found beautiful in this word is the smile of Ealga!

She WAS , considering the actress is human after all. Arwen was ok too.

they are no proud people... Like inhuman.. they seem to be dull and lifeless...

Theydo not refer to their former kings... In fact, they berely speek about their victories, land or anything else...

When one sees the futility of such wars, and the ingratitude of humans who have started to multiply like mice in Middle Earth, and knowing that there's a world for them elsewhere, one can retire, without meaning to be cowards. This is the art of war and wisdom.

They are not proud people; that's a good point for them. They are humble (no boasting about elder kings and so on) and respect nature.

Yeah, I like him also. Especially in the scenes where he competes with Legolas for who kills the most ennemies or when they start comparing elves and dwarves. Amusing

Yes or when he describes dwarf women to Eowyn...
He has such an amusing character... Furthermore, the actor is superbe...

well, i love the couples legolas/gimli and frodo/sam...this is really profound friendship...love that, truly. i just love all the members of the fellowship...even boromir, though he was like a sort of bad guy (somewhat). and as elf, i don't like only legolas...wish i were an elf!!!!!!!!!!!!!booooohoooooo!!!!!!!!
